This is evidenced by the fact that the alder body has not only been perfectly balanced but features a deep cutaway to grant unrestricted access to all twenty-two medium-jumbo frets, while the hard maple fretboard has an Edgeless™ design where the edges have been rounded off for an extra-smooth, played-in feel.

Sire has outfitted the S5 with a trio of Sire LC Super-V pickups: passive single-coils that bear Larry Carlton's seal of approval and effortlessly whip up a wide range of vintage-style sounds. In addition, you get a modern two-point tremolo bridge so you can augment your riffs and licks with tasty vibratos while the Sire Premium locking tuners keep tabs on the tuning.
